The Secret to Getting Big AND Strong
Look, I'm not going to bullshit you.
I think the biggest reason why people fail to reach their goals in the gym is lack of discipline and effort, and I can't help you (much) with either of those. No coach and no program can. At the end of the day, they're on you.
But having the right sort of program – one that's realistic, goal-oriented and structured using the time-proven method of periodization – is absolutely necessary as well. You can sink all the effort and discipline in the world into a shitty program, and it won't get you where you want to go. Trust me: I've tried. This program will get you to where you want to go.
Okay... so how does it do that?
Well, the method behind the madness is explained in my keystone course, Unf*ck Your Program – and if you're really committed to long-term success, I highly suggest that you enroll in that and use the information it contains to better understand the realt theories and details explaining how this powerbuilding program works.
But, for right now, it's enough to know this: the secret to getting big is providing your muscles enough training volume for growth and enough resources for recovery. The secret to getting strong is decreasing your training volume and increasing your training intensity over time. Of course, when you try to combine those two principles, it gets a little messy.
This program approaches the problem using three different blocks. They're described in detail later in the course, and the basic idea is that, over time, we slowly shift our training emphasis from size to strength. That way, at the end of the program, you've gotten the best of both worlds: you're both bigger and stronger.
